Felt Studies
Step into the studio where imagination has soft edges and wool becomes wonder.
When you take a immersive felt studies at Felt Art Studio, you’re not just learning a craft—you’re stepping into the same playful, hand-built process behind every character that wanders out of your needle and into the world.
We start with natural wool, rich with texture and possibility, and slowly coax it into shape using simple tools, patient hands, and a dash of whimsy.
You’ll learn how to blend different fibers, build tiny armatures for strength and personality, and sculpt expressive details one gentle poke at a time. No molds, no machines—just wool, wire, storytelling, and the quiet joy of making something that feels alive.
Whether you’re creating your first creature or adding new skills to your creative toolkit, each class is designed to be encouraging, hands-on, and delightfully relaxed. Beginners are absolutely welcome—felting is wonderfully forgiving and endlessly fun.
You’ll leave with a finished wool sculpture, new techniques, and that buzzy “I made this!” feeling that only handmade art can give. And who knows—your new felted friend might just spark a whole new creative chapter.
Come felt with me. Let’s make something magical.

What happens when you stop asking wool to behave the same way?
Spend the day exploring fiber through touch, observation, and experimentation. With more than 50 different breeds, fibers, colors, and rovings in the studio, you’ll discover what makes each one different—and what those differences can bring to your work.
Experiment with Merino, Corriedale, llama, alpaca, yak, camel, silk, and many others. Explore staple length, texture, crimp, and loft while discovering how different fibers behave when needle felted, wet felted, layered, and combined.
This isn't about finding the “right” wool.
It’s about learning what the fiber can do.
YOUR FIBER STUDY INCLUDES
Access to 50+ varieties of wool, roving, and natural fibers
Comparing fibers through needle felting
Experimenting with blending and layering different fibers
Creating your own miniature sheep fiber sampler
A Fiber Study Journal for recording your observations, samples, and discoveries
All materials and supplies
Lunch included
$175 per person
Each little sheep becomes part of your own fiber reference library—a sampler you can return to whenever you want to remember how a fiber looked, felt, and behaved in your hands.
Age 14+. No experience necessary
Come curious. Experiment freely. Leave understanding your materials a little differently.
