What to Expect
Thank you for your interest in a one-of-a-kind Family Tree! Family trees are made by hand FROM SCRATCH and take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to complete. What to expect from the process: • Once your brag sheet and preferences are received, your custom piece will be added to my creation schedule, and an estimated cost will be given. • A 50% deposit is due when I begin creating your piece. The deposit is non-refundable once creation begins. Note: Creation queue can be anywhere from 2-3 months. I am one person with two hands! • Once creation begins, you will receive progress photos weekly so you can enjoy the process with me! • When it is completed, we will discuss shipping options. If the piece is to be shipped within 500 miles of our studio in North Idaho It will be delivered in person without additional charges. • The piece comes in a shadowbox frame, a map of who is where in the piece so you can share it with them, and a ‘find this’ sheet to help find hidden treasures.
Family Member Brag Sheet
It’s time for you to brag about your family! I need the following information for EACH person you want in your family tree. 1. Name for everyone to be included in the tree 2. What role do they play with regards to you- are they a Child, spouse of a child, grandchild, mother, etc... If this is a grandchild or spouse- include who they are married to and who their parents are. 3. Do they identify as a male or female? Depending on the scene male and female clothing varies. All females have hair. 4. Hobbies, likes or special interests - specific to the person 5. Anything special you like to do as a family such as camping, boating, fishing, cooking, playing games, sporting events, etc… list as many as you want. Note: Not all activities may be used, and some activities lend themselves better to the overall theme of the piece. Note: The more family members you want to include, the larger the piece and the higher the cost. If you anticipate additional births- I can accommodate this, IF I know this is a possibility in advance. Sometimes God just wants to give us more! Example of a brag sheet: Emily: Me, Female, Sewing- teaching Aaron: Husband, Male, reading-woodworking Jayce: Son, Male, guitar- games Amanda: daughter in law (Jayce’s Wife), Female, music- flute and reading Ryland: Son, Male, Music- Clarinet, teaching Kinzie: Niece, daughter of Jennie, Female, outdoors Ayden: Nephew, son of Jennie, Male, Horses- outdoors- dirt biking
Location, Colors, and Purpose
Since the piece is made to order, I can make the piece complement the room where it will be placed and is cohesive to your décor style. If you are comfortable, send a picture of the room the piece will go in! Where will you hang the piece? • As this can be a large piece it will help you to visualize it in the location. This will help with the vertical or horizonal option and also lighting. It is vital to keep this piece away from all forms of sunlight. If you don’t know and would like assistance with this let me know. • I use high quality wool felt that has natural dyes and will fade over time if not careful. Keep away from heat, sunlight or fluorescent lights to keep colors bright for years to come. Keep this in mind on placement. Do you prefer vertical or horizontal? • Pieces range in size from 24-48” height x 18-48” width x 4-6” depth • Actual size will depend on the number of scenes and family members included. • Remember this is a one-of-a-kind piece and the size and shape will depend on the overall artistic vibe the piece takes on! Colors One-of-a-kind pieces allow you to specify the general color scheme. However, I will use what colors go with the final vibe of the piece and make sense for artistic balance. Do you prefer natural or bold colors? Having the image of the room will help greatly with this but if you are uncomfortable with sending an image, tell which you prefer. What is your Favorite color, be specific if you can. Example: My favorite color is blue- a deep navy with gray tones. I tend to add natural hues in olive green, and light mustard yellow with the navy. Note: I use a variety of greens, browns and grays for trees and I choose that based on natural vs bold colors. Who is this for? Knowing who it’s for helps me understand the purpose behind the gift. I want to make sure you are satisfied with the result for this special person. • Is this for a special occasion like Christmas or for someone special like your mother-in-law? • Is there a specific date you need it for- like an anniversary? • I can also do gift certificates if you want to give it as a gift and allow them to choose the details and complete the brag sheet. Note: If it is for a gift and won’t be completed in time, we can provide a certificate of creation for you to give as the gift.

Due to the nature of these projects it is limited to 30 per calendar year.
