About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily - an art‑supply junkie, and proud organizational freak (yes, everything has its perfect place!).

My detail‑obsessed nature means each felt creation is carefully planned, beautifully crafted, and overflowing with whimsy.

I’m grateful for every animal who shared their wool, for mother natures variety of color, and small sparks of inspiration that fuel this studio. I can’t wait to share that joyful energy with you!

WHAT FUELS MY CREATION?

When I was 12, I made my first little doll from toothpicks and thread. Before I knew it, I’d created over 30—simply because I loved the process. I began leaving them in places where they could spark joy: at school, in church, around the neighborhood.

Watching each discovery light up someone’s face ignited a passion in me—a spark that still fuels my work today. At Felt Art Studio, I pour that same magic into every felt sculpture: lots of heart, a dash of delight, and one-of-a-kind charm.

If you’re hunting for a meaningful gift for someone who seems to have everything—or searching for a sweet addition to your own collection—you’ve come to the right place. Each piece is handmade, never mass-produced—just pure personality, perfect for gifting and collecting.

OUTSIDE THE STUDIO

I live in a charming small logging town in Northern Idaho, surrounded by lakes and forests that inspire my soul. I’m grateful to share my family of two sons, and a daughter‑in‑law with the world as they navigate adulthood.

At home, I spend as much time as I can with my husband of over 30 years who is my best friend and creative partner. We are supervised 24/7 by our cat, Ginger.

When I step outside the studio, you’ll often find me in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes. Cooking is my creative playtime: a mindful, sensory escape that sparks inspiration to feed the soul… and the belly! I can also be found in the wood-shop burning, carving, sawing, staining, turning; building whatever item I find a need for. Some of these items are incorporated into my art.

Thanks for being here—I’m so glad you stopped by. Let’s find the perfect piece to bring joy to someone you love… or to yourself.
